Organizations and Manufacturers

Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) – AAPB is the foremost association for the study of biofeedback, self-regulation and applied psychophysiology. Founded in 1969 as the Biofeedback Research Society and later known as the Biofeedback Society of America, AAPB today has more than 1,000 members and a number of state chapters. Disciplines include psychology, medicine, nursing, physical therapy, counseling, education, occupational therapy, social work and dentistry.
The Association is dedicated to encouraging scientific research in biofeedback, improving research methods in biofeedback and integrating biofeedback with other methods and approaches to foster individual health and development; improving the applied uses of biofeedback through high standards of professional practice, conduct and education; and increasing the dispersal of knowledge about biofeedback through meetings, workshops and publications. APEd – Applied Psychophysiology Education – APEd, founded and directed by Dr. Cynthia Kerson (BMRTF’s PEP program assistant) is the leader in corporate and team development in neurofeedback, biofeedback and QEEG. All of their programs are accredited by BCIA or QEEGCB. If you’re looking for hands-on training at your clinic for your staff, APEd can create a program that works for you. Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA)
The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) was formed in January 1981 to establish and maintain professional standards for the provision of biofeedback services and to certify those who meet these standards. Visit their website at: www.bcia.org

Biofeedback Foundation of Europe – The Biofeedback Foundation of Europe (BFE) was founded to promote a greater awareness of biofeedback among European health professionals and, through training workshops, educate clinicians in the use of biofeedback techniques and technology.
The foundation’s advisory board comprises leading clinicians and researchers from multiple disciplines who share a common interest in the dissemination of information about this rapidly growing field. Visit www.bfe.org for more information.

BrainMaster Technologies, Inc. – BrainMaster has been manufacturing biofeedback equipment for more than 20 years.  Their equipment is capable of neurofeedback from one channel surface to 19 channel z-score training. They are the sponsors of equipment available for loan to the Saybrook University doctoral students. QEEG Certification Board. -The QEEGCB is the certifying body for QEEGT and QEEGD certificants. With this certification, one provides proficiency in EEG recording (QEEGT) and assessment and report analysis (QEEGD). Learn more about this certification HERE.
