  • This basic level CE course is designed to teach professionals how to incorporate biofeedback and psychophysiological assessment into their practices depending on their scopes of practice. The course provides sufficient material so participants will know (a) what the common biofeedback assessments and interventions are as well as how they work, (b) how the recording devices work in a clinical setting, (c) how to perform an effective recording, and (d) how to perform effective psychophysiological assessments and interventions. 

     The course is targeted to teachers, coaches, and licensed / certified clinicians such as psychologists, counselors, physical therapists, social workers, nurses, and physicians.

  • Describe the relationship between psychophysiology and biofeedback

    Give at least two examples of unique information provided by psychophysiological assessments not attainable in other ways.

    Describe how typical biofeedback sessions are conducted including the coaching relationship.

    Summarize how biofeedback devices are used to apply at least two specific intervention.

    List 4 lines of evidence showing that specific biofeedback based interventions are efficacious.
